# About Digital Agriculture Academy
**Learn Today. Grow Tomorrow.**
Digital Agriculture Academy (DAA) is a vocational education and skills development initiative dedicated to preparing individuals, agricultural professionals and businesses for the technological transformation of modern agriculture.
Designed to serve the wider Western Balkans region, DAA brings together digital learning, practical training, simulation technologies and real agricultural production environments within an integrated education and competency development model.
Our mission is to make modern agricultural knowledge and technologies more accessible, practical and applicable. We aim to equip learners with the technical knowledge, operational skills and professional competencies required for controlled environment agriculture (CEA), hydroponic crop production, greenhouse management, agricultural automation and related technologies.
DAA's educational approach is built around a structured learning journey: **KNOW ? EXPERIENCE ? DECIDE ? PERFORM ? PROVE ? CERTIFY ? PROGRESS.** This progression connects theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, operational decision-making, practical performance and competency-based assessment.
The learning experience combines five complementary components: the DAA Online Academy, the CEA Training Truck, practical workshops, the Training Twin / Simulator and the Living CEA Training Greenhouse. Together, these components are designed to help learners understand agricultural systems, experience technologies, practise decisions in simulated environments and demonstrate their abilities under real operating conditions.
DAA develops vocational programmes for new entrants to agriculture, farmers, greenhouse workers, technicians, supervisors, agricultural entrepreneurs, investors, trainers and other professionals seeking to develop or upgrade their skills. Programmes are structured around defined learning outcomes, progressive practical training and measurable competencies.
Digital technologies play a central role in this approach. Through its learning management system, digital educational content, simulation environments and competency assessment tools, DAA aims to support flexible learning while maintaining a strong connection to practical agricultural operations.
DAA operates within a broader development ecosystem alongside AgriTech Park, which focuses on agricultural infrastructure, technology implementation and commercial-scale development. This complementary relationship creates opportunities to connect education and workforce development with the practical requirements of modern agricultural enterprises.
Institutional cooperation is an important part of DAA's development. Through its partnership with the Regional Centre for Vocational Education and Training ?Kiro Burnaz? in Kumanovo, DAA is working to strengthen the connection between public vocational education, digital learning and modern agricultural technologies. The initiative also seeks to foster cooperation with educational institutions, technology providers, agricultural enterprises and development partners.
Our long-term vision is to contribute to a more skilled, innovative and competitive agricultural sector by developing practical capabilities, supporting technology adoption and creating pathways from education to employment, entrepreneurship and professional advancement.
**At DAA, learning is not simply about acquiring knowledge. It is about developing the confidence, judgement and practical competence to apply that knowledge in the real world.**
